Overview

OKX Pay is a new crypto payment experience launched as a sub-app inside OKX, one of the world’s largest crypto platforms with over 100M users. Designed for instant, fee-free, self-custodied payments, it brings the ease of Web2 payments to the power of Web3.

In 2025, OKX launched OKX Pay: a first-of-its-kind crypto payments sub-app serving over 100M global users. Designed for fast, fee-free payments, it brings together Web3 security and Web2 usability—all with practical self-custody at its core.

I led all content design efforts, from product naming and UX copy to onboarding, localization, and user education.

The Challenge

Crypto self-custody is empowering—but intimidating. The goal was to help everyday users confidently send and receive crypto without needing to be crypto-native.

We launched in select markets as the first step in OKX’s vision to make crypto part of everyday life—with practical self-custody at its core.
